Royal BBQ is a chinese bbq in Champaign, Illinois. It is listed at 508 E Green St, Champaign, IL 61820, which places it among the local businesses of Champaign that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Champaign; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in Illinois are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.

I live in HK so I like to think I know Cantonese bbq. I will say the taste profile is pretty good, good, authenti flavors and hard to find in the area. My issue is with the food. I've had 3 times now, once dine in a few months ago was good. 2nd time 2 months later takeout you can see the pics, very good, but a decline in meat quality. Still very good, but duck was all bone. 3rd time, I should have taken pictures. No good veggies (only cabbage) and i paid extra. Chicken wings were just 2 and all skin and bone. Pork was half grissle and fat. Again, the taste was excellent... but the meat quality for the price is why the low score. I paid over 25 and got just cabbage veggies and low quality meat. If they can up the meat quality, this is an easy 9/10 bbq place. For now, 5/10. I will try one last time in a month or two, might be the last time.

delicious and hearty and inexpensive. the fried pork tenderloin was more batter than meat but it was still tasty lol. looooved the cucumber salad and most of the dishes we got for the lunchbox. the eggplant with minced pork was a bit more bland than i expected but still pretty excellent.

I saw this place while walking around campus and decided to come because my brother had never tried duck before. You order at a kiosk and then wait for your food. The staff was really friendly and happy to answer all our questions. I got the rice porridge soup with shrimp and it was 10/10. The duck was also amazing, they chop it up right in front of you so you can watch and it was so flavorful and chewy. The cucumber salad was fresh and spicy to help balance the richness of the duck. My brother got chicken wings which were simple but still good for anyone who is not into duck. Seating is limited, about 20 spots inside but I would definitely come back.

Soo good. Im Very pleased that I have found roasted duck in the area. I miss the Chinese restaurants in Chicago. But now I've found a place that has the same great flavors. I had the pick 3 and the duck and pork belly were my favorite. The wings were dry and lacked Flavor. But the meal in itself was right on time. Ill be back...

This place was pretty bad, the duck wings were not at all for an American palette. The peking duck was not tender, so little meat, and the flavors were kind of all a mess. It had a lot of potential but this place was a red flag the moment it was described as β€œfast food”.
